Very soon Governor Rick Snyder will veto a House and Senate bill that would severely limit his ability to protect the Great Lakes. If he does, then it’s all thanks to you.

Seriously, if you’re reading this, then you are probably one of the nearly 500 Michigan LCV members who took action and sent a message to Governor Snyder. Thanks to you, the Governor heard loud and clear that passing a law that prevents him from issuing protections for the Great Lakes that are stricter than those currently on the books at the federal level was not in his, or our state’s, best interests.

Governor Snyder's veto of this bill would help affirm his commitment of protecting the Great Lakes that he campaigned on in 2010, while also affirming the right of future Governors to serve as stewards of the Great Lakes that surround Michigan and form the foundation of our identity and our economy. We are very grateful to you for your help in encouraging the Governor to do what’s right.
