At the Michigan League of Conservation Voters, we are committed to addressing the most pressing issues facing Michigan’s natural resources.
Below is a list of our 2013-2014 legislative priorities.
- Energy - Increase Michigan's Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Standard
- Land - Protect Michigan's Public Lands
- Water - Protect Michigan's Waters from Excessive Withdrawals and Contamination
For a complete list of priorities, as well as more information about our top priorities, please visit the Great Michigan website.
Through our Great Michigan Priority Setting Process, we convene members of the environmental and conservation community to collectively identify and agree to support three priority issues. Through a consensus-based decision making process we engage a diverse array of groups from every region of the state. Once the top three priorities are selected, we educate state legislators and administrative agencies at the beginning of each new session through an Education Day. The priority issues are housed at www.greatmichigan.org and can be downloaded as factsheets here.
