Green Gavels is Michigan LCV’s newest accountability tool. In collaboration with faculty and students from the University of Michigan Law School, Green Gavels will help citizens understand the impact of major environmental cases recently decided by the Michigan Supreme Court.

The Michigan Supreme Court is an elected branch of government whose decisions have a heavy impact on conservation, the environment, and natural resources in our state. By presenting those decisions in clear language, voters will understand why the cases were decided the way they were, which justices ruled for each side, and the effects of their decisions.
