Press Kit

The Michigan League of Conservation Voters (501c4) was founded in 1999 to help provide a political voice for the environmental movement in Michigan.

Michigan LCV is a non-profit, non-partisan organization dedicated to passing strong environmental laws, electing environmental champions, and holding lawmakers accountable for their actions.

In pursuit of its mission, Michigan LCV holds legislators accountable to their votes, engages in voter education, lobbying and issue advocacy. Michigan League of Conservation Voters also recruits candidates, issues candidate endorsements and actively works for the election of candidates committed to strong and effective conservation policies.

Michigan LCV is best known for our Environmental Scorecard, which we release every two years to inform the public and the media of legislators’ votes for or against the environment. Please visit our Do Your Elected Officials Care? page to see copies of our most recent scorecard, as well as those from previous years.
