Join us in urging the Macomb County Commission to instead\, support this legislation because it would benefit most Michiganders while costing the wealthiest among us a very small amount each year. \nSenator Stephanie Chang has spearheaded a collaborative effort over seven months\, uniting stakeholders for a comprehensive water affordability plan in Michigan. This includes addressing issues like doubled water costs since 1980 and the public health importance highlighted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Initiatives like the Low-Income Household Water Assistance Program have helped\, but a statewide approach is crucial. \nJoin us for a patch-through Phonebank\, where we’ll encourage Macomb residents to leave a voicemail for the Macomb County Commission in support of this water affordability bill package.
