SUMMARY:Canvass for Jaime Churches for State House & Darrin Camilleri for State Senate
DESCRIPTION:Join Michigan LCV as we knock doors for climate champions Jaime Churches for House District 27 and Sen Darrin Camilleri for Senate District 4! \nWe’ll be talking with voters across the district and encouraging them to support Churches & Camilleri in the upcoming election on November 3. This is a great opportunity to have meaningful conversations with your neighbors and help elect leaders who will fight for clean energy\, environmental protection\, and strong communities. \nNo canvassing experience is necessary\, training will be provided before we head out. \nPlease bring: • Comfortable walking shoes • A reusable water bottle • Weather-appropriate clothing • A charged phone \nTogether\, we can help elect climate champions and make a difference in our communities. We hope to see you there!

SUMMARY:Kalamazoo Family Social & Postcard Party!
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a casual gathering to build community\, learn about electing environmental champions this year\, and help us write postcards! \nWe will be gathering over snacks and pizza to get to know each other while we learn about the upcoming election and how to make a difference. Building community is a critical part of effective movements – people who know each other care about each other and therefore will work to protect each other! As we gather\, there will be food\, refreshments\, and updates from Michigan LCV staff including invitations to future events. There will also be an opportunity to write postcards to Michigan LCV members in targeted areas where there are important races to remind them to vote. \nThis month we will write postcards to support reelecting the State Supreme Court Justices who just ruled against Line 5 while we watch a film about this critical issue.
