We will have platforms for direct civic engagement\, allowing attendees to voice their support for 100% Clean Energy by speaking directly to state legislators via phone calls and/or letters\, in addition to speeches from the youth organizers\, prominent community members\, and an open mic for participants to voice their concerns about the climate crisis and clean energy. City\, County\, and State legislators have been invited to attend\, providing a unique opportunity for youth voices to directly reach those in positions of power.

DESCRIPTION:Join forces with hundreds of volunteers to clean up the Grand River. WMEAC will provide gloves\, trash bags\, and enthusiasm to keep our shared waters clean and enjoyable. This event is FREE and is open to all ages\, abilities\, and identities. We will start at 8:30 a.m. with a light breakfast\, spend a few hours cleaning up litter\, and regroup to celebrate with a complimentary lunch. Non-alcoholic refreshments will be available to all volunteers who participate\, and a variety of local brews will be available for those over the age of 21
