Earth Day Clean Up! Lake St. Clair Metropark

Join Michigan LCV for an Earth Day Park Clean Up at Lake St. Clair Metropark! We will be collecting trash throughout the park and beach to keep our land and water clean and safe.

What to Expect: Volunteers will be assigned to different areas of the park at check-in at the Thomas Welsh Activity Center. All necessary tools, gloves and bags will be provided. Volunteers will receive free entry into the park on clean-up day. All members of a group must be registered to participate and properly assign tasks. Snacks and water will be provided at the end of the event. Volunteers will be working independently of staff after initial orientation.

At the end of the clean-up, there will be a weigh-in competition to determine who collected the most waste and earn some awesome prizes!

If you own a kayak, please contact us to let us know as we need volunteers who would be willing to pick up waste in the water as well.
