Ariana Riegel

Executive and Board Assistant

Ariana serves as our Executive and Board Assistant – supporting the work of the Executive Director and Board. Before joining the team, Ariana has worked in community mental health, food justice, and birth advocacy. Her background in community level social work and environmental justice are what drew her to this position and this work.

Ariana brings significant experience working at the intersection of public health, natural resources, and public policy. She earned her Bachelor’s in Environmental Justice from Macalester College and her Masters of Social Work from Eastern Michigan University. While pursuing her undergraduate degree she also worked as an intern for Michigan LCV!

Born and raised in the Midwest, she has called southeast Michigan home for most of her life. In addition to her work with Michigan LCV, she occasionally moonlights as a doula and teaches childbirth education to expectant families. She enjoys learning about and cultivating native plants, knitting, being with her family, and planning their next camping adventures.
