Michigan LCV and our partners are inviting Southwest Detroit community residents to participate in a mayoral candidate forum that puts our community—our issues and our stories—at the center. Candidates running for Detroit mayor this year are being invited not just to speak, but to listen first: to hear directly from residents through testimonies that reflect the lived realities of our neighborhoods and share with us the role they intend to play. This event is about lifting up the voices that are too often left out and making it clear that anyone who hopes to lead this city must include us, at every step. Whether you vote or not, your experience matters, your voice matters, and this forum is for you.
