Lauren Peck

Policy Coordinator

Lauren is a State Government Affairs Policy Coordinator at Michigan LCV where she focuses on state level climate and energy policy analysis, development, and research. She joined the team most recently in September 2026, but also worked for Michigan LCV for just under a year between 2024-2025. Lauren believes that the conditions in which people live, from the air they breathe to the communities they call home, shape their health, opportunities, and futures, and that thoughtful, strategic, and equitable policy can help communities thrive for generations to come.

Lauren graduated from the University of Michigan’s Ford School of Public Policy, concentrating in Global Sustainability and Social Innovation, with a minor in Spanish. Some of her experience includes working at the U.S. Department of Energy under Secretary Granholm, GEOMAR Helmholtz Centre for Ocean Research in Kiel, Germany, and the Michigan Electric Vehicle Alliance as Clean Cars 2030 Campaign Manager. Following her graduation from UofM, Lauren completed a yearlong diplomatic fellowship in Germany sponsored by the U.S. Department of State.

In her free time, Lauren enjoys coaching kids soccer, traveling, learning new languages, and running marathons for a cause.
